Last year, I had to block off a period of time in which I could review a book due to the fact that I was receiving an overwhelming amount of them. Sadly, this seems to be happening again only this time instead of having as much time as I would like to review the books, I have even less time now.
I don't want to close down my review requests, but what I am going to do is what I did last year. My email (which I have been hiding from) is exploding with review requests and blog tours and Netgalley on top of everything else, so what will happen is that any review requests that I receive as of today will not be read until June 1st.
This worked out pretty well the last time I did it, and the authors were very understanding. I was able put it all aside without feeling like I was rejecting anyone. This cycle, which I'm calling Cycle 2 will be two months of simply doing blog tours and getting to the review requests that I have received prior to this day and getting to my Netgalley reviews, which I have read, just haven't reviewed.
Hopefully, in a few weeks I can fully explain why these next two months I need to focus away from the blog and what's going on in school. Even fact, I may even go on a brief hiatus (which in all honesty I should have done in the beginning!).
But patience is virtue my friends!
