Top Ten Authors I Want At My Dinner Table

Top Ten is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, which consists of lists for bloggers to share with each other over a variety of topics.

1. Julia Karr - I love, love, loved XVI and I would love to talk to her about the next books and just to talk in general to her about the topics surrounding her books.
2. Beth Revis - ACROSS THE UNIVERSE was so captivating, and I am just loving this woman.
3. Jodi Picoult - Really, she should be number one. This woman is my ideal, the reason of why I started to tackle serious topics in my novels instead of the world of the YA. She is like my hero, and I have read every book she has written and probably know so much about her that I could be considered a stalker. Except for where she lives and her phone number, which I will find.
4. Diana Gabaldon - Love OUTLANDER and the other books. They are just so wonderful, long, but wonderful. I am in love with Jamie and would love to be in Claire's shoes, without the war of course.
5. Meg Cabot - It shocks me that I have yet to review anything from her. She makes me feel young again and I love knowing that no matter how old you get there will always be this young heart. Even though some of her books these days are leaning towards the darker side of things, they are still awesome.
6. Lauren Oliver - I'm afraid that instead of eating, I would be shaking her down for information on the rest of the series and to know what is going to happen after DELIRIUM and if our beloved heroine would achieve the happiness she deserves with the person she deserves (those who read the book know what I'm talking about.)
7. Veronica Roth - Hello, DIVERGENT people. Who wouldn't want this genius at their dinner table?
8. Lauren DeStefano - I was so disappointed with WITHER I just want to sit down and talk with this woman and explain what makes no sense in her book, and figure out what the heck she was thinking writing this thing.
9. Dan Brown - I am still a fan of the DA VINCI CODE and ANGELS AND DEMON, and probably among the minority that loved the movies and still watch them both. I loved his other works that don't include Robert, but these two are my favorite, especially when he meets Sophia, I was so hoping for a future there. Ah well, it'll happen. In my dreams.
10. Gwen Hayes - I love, love, love, love, loved FALLEN UNDER and just can't wait for the next book to come out. She was awesome and I would talk her ear off.

I have to say, looking at my list 2012 will look like an amazing year for books!
