Marcus Kincaid has returned to England after a ten-year absence. His older brother died during that time, making Marcus the Earl of Ashford. Not only that, his younger sister is embroiled in a potential scandal that could ruin her chance at marriage. His aunt has already called in reinforcements—The Paragon.

Vivian March is known simply as The Paragon. She moves through every circle within Society, smoothing out scandals and stopping gossip in its tracks. Everyone in London knows that if she aligns herself with you, Society will forgive you your sins. What they don’t know is that she uses their secrets to cover her own jaded past.

But with every kiss and every touch that Marcus thrusts upon her, Vivian comes to believe life is infinitely more fun when you can be just a little bit wicked…

It feels like its been a long time since I read a good historical romance novel. I use to be obsessed with these when I was in high school and I am rediscovering my love for them.

This novel reminded me everything I absolutely love about this time period and why these novels are always good. The drama is real and not something straight out of a telenovela; the romance is as real as it gets and there is character development (something that some novels should make not of).

Vivian has reinvented herself after an incident has left a scandal in her wake, by hiding other people's scandal. When she is contacted by Marcus in order to clean away his own sister's scandal, Vivian agrees despite their own rocky past. And one thing on Vivian's list to do is marry Marcus off before he starts getting too close to her, but it might come too late.

This was a cute story. Like most, I loved how the chase was going between Marcus and Vivian. I honestly have to give Marcus the props for the way he kept after her.

I liked the characters and the overall growth of the novel that I saw.

The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I felt like a little more could have been added to the novel. It went by way too fast for me. But on the upside it will at least be a quick read.

A marriage in name only...

To save her family home, impulsive bookstore owner, Alexa Maria McKenzie, casts a love spell. But she never planned on conjuring up her best friend's older brother—the powerful man who once shattered her heart.

Billionaire Nicholas Ryan doesn’t believe in marriage, but in order to inherit his father’s corporation, he needs a wife and needs one fast. When he discovers his sister’s childhood friend is in dire financial straits, he offers Alexa a bold proposition.

A marriage in name only with certain rules: avoid entanglement. Keep things all business. Do not fall in love. The arrangement is only for a year so the rules shouldn’t be that hard to follow, right?

Except fate has a way of upsetting the best-laid plans…

This, was by far, the cutest little love story I have read. Honestly, from the start these two were doomed. I don't know what was funnier, the fights or the way they tried to deny anything was between the two of them.

I bought this book when I saw it on sale and I decided that it could could not be the greatest loss in the world to read this book. When I started reading through it I knew I made the right choice. From the beginning the tale sucks you into the lives of Alexa and Nick. They are both extremely hardheaded people who both want something from the other.

Even though it wasn't the longest story I have read, I still found such amazing character development between the two main characters.

I almost want to continue reading the next books, even though I know that they will go off to the other supportive characters. I think I just want to live in Alexa and Nick's world just a little longer before going off to the others.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who lost romance. I finished this book in like two hours just straight through reading. Because once this novel starts there is no finishing it, these characters are so captivating.

Loved, loved, loved this book!
